![]() I got it first try with using Kurosuna but be your own judge about this. You definitely don't need Kurosuna to get this achievement as every video I've seen was done without it but I had about 6 failed attempts in this location before I thought "hang on a minute, this has gotta be easier if I blind this dickhead first". He can't "spot" you because he's blinded and as long as you've got him between you and the explosive light it's a guarantee. Wait for the guard to come back to the middle of the L-shape and when he stops hit him with Kurosuna to blind him, then run (using LB) through the illumination of the explosive light and to the other side of the guard. This will let you use the building to block the guard's line of sight for the next step. Next, Shadow Leap into the shadow of the building and from there to the far side of the explosive light that's next to the building. What I did was Shadow Leap down to the shadow of the bushes on the right at the bottom of the slope, waited til the guard was moving from the middle of the L-shape towards to point of the L at the bottom of the slope and then Shadow Leap to the thin shadow of the "Notice Board" a little to the left (or use Shadow Creation to make it easier). ![]() On your right will be a downward slope with a guard who walks an L-shape patrol pattern between the bottom of the slope, the building with an explosive light on the right side (that also contains a Scroll) and finally to the "front" of the building where there's a guard who doesn't move (he stands outside the building's main entrance). In Chapter 7, proceed through the 1st area and when you get to the 2nd area you'll jump across a broken bridge. Each of these are useful, but never overpowered, meaning that the game doesn't become trivially easy down the line.Worked for me but took a few tries so for those wanting to skip the experimentation and get some specific instructions here you go. This is ultimately what a stealth game should be.Īdditionally, the player can find scrolls around levels that give skill points for unlocking new abilities, such as making the corpse of a target vanish or giving the player kunai projectiles. As you get closer to reaching her you’ll unlock new skills to control the shadows and uncover more of her history. You’ve been called up a girl named Yamiko who has been imprisoned in a city fortress. You play as an Aragami, a ninja-like shadow spirit that can blink from shadow to shadow. Enemies are intelligent and lethal, but you can exploit their patrol patterns with careful strategy. Aragami is a third person stealth game by Lince Works. Therefore, the game requires you to patiently scout out the play space, find routes to take, and either silently kill enemies or avoid them entirely. It is impossible to fight enemies head on, as any attacks soldiers use kill you in one hit. All playable characters ( Aragami, Shinobu, Hyo) utilize shadow techniques. Shadow adepts and shadow assassins commonly use these techniques. When not in the dark, enemies can see you easily, but if you remain hidden you can assassinate them with your trusty blade.Īt its core, Aragami emphasizes stealth. Shadow techniques (also called shadow powers) are special powers and techniques that come from the manipulation of Shadow essence. Standing in moderate light stops your Shadow Essence from recharging, while being next to bright lights causes it to drain. As an aragami, you can both create shadows and teleport between them, but doing either requires Shadow Essence, a resource that is replenished by standing in dark places. The meat of Aragami lies within its incredibly polished mechanics. ![]() This all occurs prior to the events of the original game, and it helps to add context to the main plot. The narrative of the DLC is short, but sweet: you play and uncover the fates of the last two shadow assassins, Hyo and Shinobu, as they battle soldiers during the war between the dark and light.
